Born in Fukushima prefecture. Given name Sadao. Studied Japanese-style painting with Bannai Seiran. Exhibited paintings of Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido in 1927. Three of these, Hakone, Nihonbashi, and Nagoya Castle, published as prints by Watanabe Shozaburo in 1930.** Taken in whole, or in part, with permission from: Merritt, Helen and Nanako Yamada.
