Born in Tottori prefecture. Given name Totaro. Studied Tosa-style painting from his father. Painted history and customs in yamato-e style. Exhibited in Nitten. Member of Osaka Art Society. Prints carved by Yamagishi Kazue, printed by Nishimura Kumakichi. Used the kanji seal Tatehiko.** Taken in whole, or in part, with permission from: Merritt, Helen and Nanako Yamada.
