Born in Kyoto. Given name Genjiro. Studied with Kishi Chikudo and Takeuchi Seiho. Exhibited paintings at Bunten and Teiten. Member of Imperial Art Academy. Showed with the Nihon Bijutsu Kyokai and then with the Zenkoku Kaiga Kyoshinkai. Prize winner at the first Bunten; member of and frequent juror for the Teiten. Second-generation modern Kyoto school, heir to Seiho's manner. Teacher of Japanese-style painting at Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting. Subjects include flowers, fish, .....
